DUOS began with a simple observation. The older adults in our lives have access to life-changing health plan benefits, government programs, and care resources yet they simply do not use them or know how to use them. The problem is not a lack of access. It is a lack of follow-through.

In 2020, we set out to change that. DUOS started by pairing older adults with a dedicated healthcare navigator, a trusted duo who could cut through the confusion and connect them to the benefits and support they had rightfully earned. That connection and model worked. And it showed us something bigger: the follow-through gap was not a people problem. It was a systematic problem.

We realized that to truly fix a systemic problem, we could not just work from the outside in. We had to partner directly with the health plans themselves.

What started as a one-to-one relationship has grown into a national movement, but being a steadfast duo remains at the heart of what we do every day. We partner with health plans to scale that exact same human connection. Together, we are improving the member experience today to build the system we will all inherit.

Too many people never experience the full value of their benefits. DUOS exists to change that. We close the gap between what health plans provide and what members actually receive, turning fragmented benefits, programs, and resources into a connected experience that works for everyone.
